The Antenna - Buy or Build? Ham radio has changed over the years...Do you still build antenna's, or do you buy a commercial product?
[190 votes since 2008-11-20]
I still build my all my own...
No time/inclination to build, I buy commercial...
My station uses a combination of both...
I'm an Experimenter, always constructing/trying something new...
I'd love to build, but for reasons, I can't...
I have a limited income, I HAVE to Build!

Strays Add a Stray!
Looking for help locating the manufacturer of a portable rotor, I saw advertised a few back on eham .Rotor was capable of being mounted on a portable mast and may have been battery powered Any help would be greatly appreciated in locating this item. Thanks Tom KC2CBA tomflushing3@aol.com

DXCC Status
A contributor states, "Currently there are only two countries that do not issue Amateur Radio licenses to their citizens, Yemen and North Korea. Thousand of deserving Ham's worldwide who enjoy working DX are shut out of any hope of obtaining the #1 Top of the Honor Roll status due to this. It would seem rational that these two countries (and any others who take a similar position) should be deleted from the official DXCC list in view of this. Why recognize a country on the DXCC list that does not recognize Amateur Radio? What say you?"

Shack Showcase PY9FP- AFFILIATED STATIONS
PY9FP- AFFILIATED STATIONS Here is a new QSL card design. The station is effective and fun, it consists of QRP/MFJ cub, ICOM718, VEC 1240-k, VEC1140-K. Special interest is always in homebrew QRP rigs and antennas, and always working on new projects, keeping my amateur radio hobby a great source of education and fun. Multi band vertical antenna and MFJ dipole antenna for 20 meters band. I spend a lot of time in the shack, and I have made it as comfortable as I can. I am honored having AI2IA , Ray as my Elmer and special friend. I am QRP enthusiastic, and thanks for my Elmer Ray. If you would like to set a time to make contact on 40 or 20 meters band, please email me at the address in my eHam or QRZ profile. Cheers and good DXs, es Vy72/73
